Recall Alert: BMW Australia Recalls 26,491 Vehicles Due to Brake System Fault

BMW Australia has issued a recall for 26,491 vehicles across its BMW, Mini, and Alpina brands due to a potential fault in the braking system. The recall affects models sold between 2022 and 2024, with the issue possibly leading to reduced brake performance, increasing the risk of accidents.

The affected vehicles include the BMW 3 Series, 4 Series, X3, X4, Mini Hatch, Mini Countryman, and select Alpina models, all stamped between 2022 and 2024. BMW has advised owners of these vehicles to contact their nearest dealership for a free inspection and repair.

Owners can check if their vehicle is impacted by visiting the BMW Australia website or the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) Product Safety website. BMW has emphasized that this recall is precautionary, and no accidents have been reported as a result of the defect.

Customers are urged to act quickly to ensure the safety of their vehicles on the road.
