PISTONS AND PEARLS – WOMEN IN AUTOMOTIVE

Pistons & Pearls is dedicated to assisting the automotive industry in recruiting, retaining, progressing and recognising female employees and leaders.
One of the most crucial challenges facing the automotive industry is the inclusiveness of the workforce. It has long been a male dominated sector, but to be sustainable and reach its full potential in the future, it is essential the industry becomes more diverse and embrace all workers. Ultimately, an inclusive and diverse automotive workforce is one that will be responsive and able to withstand other industry challenges in the future.
Pistons & Pearls is comprised of representatives passionate about providing opportunities, education, awareness and support to women in the Australian automotive community through:

NETWORKING

- Giving women in automotive a public presence and voice.

All women associated with the automotive industry are encouraged to join our expanding network, such as but not limited to mechanics, spray-painters, panel beaters, service advisors and assessors. By offering a membership based network we are able to keep an up-to-date database of contacts, statistics and trends.

Due to the low percentage of females represented in the Australian automotive industry we aim to keep joining Pistons & Pearls free of charge and you do not need to be a member of the IAME.
