Introducing Scott Denning – IAME’s New Sydney & Central Coast Trainer

We’re excited to welcome Scott Denning to the IAME team as our newest Trainer, supporting apprentices, employers and hosts across Sydney and the Central Coast.

Scott joins us with more than more than 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, bringing with him a wealth of hands-on knowledge and experience gained from working across many different areas of the industry.

Like many successful automotive professionals, Scott began his career as an apprentice, giving him first-hand insight into what it’s like to start out in the trade and work your way through the industry. Over the years, he has progressed through a variety of roles, including Automotive technician, service adviser, pre-delivery management, trainer and assessor.

His career has also seen him work with some of the automotive industry's most recognised brands, including Volvo, Land Rover, Jaguar, Audi and Mazda. This broad experience has given Scott an excellent understanding of modern vehicle technology, workshop operations and the changing skills required of today’s automotive technicians.

One of Scott’s particular passions is European vehicles, an area where his extensive industry experience will be a great asset. His enthusiasm for the trade, combined with his practical knowledge, makes him well placed to support apprentices as they develop their skills and work towards becoming qualified automotive professionals.

Scott also brings considerable experience in training and assessing apprentices. Having worked closely with apprentices throughout his career, he understands that every student learns differently and that the support provided during an apprenticeship can make a significant difference to their development and confidence.

Since joining IAME, Scott has certainly hit the ground running. He is looking forward to and has already started getting out on the road, meeting his students, visiting workshops and building strong relationships with both apprentices and their hosts as well as members.

For Scott, the role is about more than simply completing training requirements. He is passionate about helping the next generation of automotive professionals develop the knowledge, practical skills, hands on experience and confidence they need to succeed in the industry.

We’re delighted to have Scott joining our team and believe his experience, enthusiasm and passion for the automotive trade will make him a fantastic addition to our already talented and experienced team of IAME Trainers.

We’re looking forward to seeing Scott out and about across Sydney and the Central Coast and getting to know the many apprentices and hosts he’ll be working with.

Please join us in giving Scott a warm welcome to the IAME team!
